A practical starting set of rules for Tactically Armed’s online store.

1. Terms and conditions

Tactically Armed (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2017/517652/07 and VAT number 4090309941, trades as Tactically Armed. Product information, prices and availability are subject to confirmation. An order becomes accepted only once payment is cleared and Tactically Armed confirms fulfilment. We may correct obvious pricing, stock or description errors before acceptance.

2. Restricted products, firearms and ammunition

Sales of firearms, ammunition and other regulated products remain subject to all applicable law, licence and permit requirements, and verification by Tactically Armed. Collection is available for all categories. Licensable goods will not be delivered directly to a buyer; where transport is offered, delivery will be to an approved dealer through a suitable specialist courier after the required checks. Tactically Armed may refuse or cancel a transaction where lawful requirements cannot be met.

3. Delivery and collection

Accessories and other non-licensable goods may be collected or sent by courier within South Africa once payment has cleared. Delivery timeframes and costs are confirmed at checkout or order confirmation. A signature may be required on delivery. Courier partners, delivery areas and charges are still to be finalised before shop launch.

4. Payments, deposits, cancellations and refunds

Proposed payment methods are PayFast card payment, iKhokha card payment and direct EFT. EFT orders are released only after cleared funds reflect in our account. Cash may be accepted for a collection at the store, subject to legal and order-verification requirements. Proposed rule: special-order items require a 50% deposit and, once an order has been placed with a supplier, that deposit is non-refundable unless Tactically Armed cannot supply the item. Final cancellation and refund rules are still subject to approval.

5. Returns, refunds and warranty

Proposed rule: a return request for ordinary goods must be made within 7 days of delivery or collection and items must be unused, unopened and in resalable condition, subject to consumer-law rights. Report incorrect, damaged or defective items promptly with photographs and order details. Special-order and regulated items have different return conditions and will be assessed according to law, supplier terms and the reason for return. This draft must be legally reviewed before publication.

6. Firearm storage

Tactically Armed may provide 6–12 months of free storage, depending on the sale agreement. Thereafter the proposed storage charge is R150 per month for each pistol or revolver, and R250 per month for each shotgun or rifle. Fees may be waived where delays are demonstrably caused by SAPS rather than the client. Proposed reminders: 60, 30 and 7 days before free storage ends, followed by monthly invoices.

7. Privacy, POPIA and cookies

We will collect only information needed to answer enquiries, process orders, comply with legal obligations and provide agreed services. Personal information will be protected and retained only as required. Before launch, the final notice must identify the Information Officer, data processors and tracking services. The likely technology list includes WordPress, Shopify, CompuByte, PayFast or iKhokha, WhatsApp, newsletter forms, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel. Analytics and marketing tracking will be enabled only after the final privacy and cookie notice and consent approach are approved.
